Case Study: CME in dentistry
FOR is a global, non-profit organisation advocating science, education and humanity in oral rehabilitation. Their goal is to empower more clinicians to embrace superior quality treatments, from routine to guidelines, and enhance oral rehabilitation for patients across the globe.
The Foundation asked our medical illustration studio to create illustrations for their online tools called treatment guidelines. These guidelines are designed to help practitioners make decisions about appropriate healthcare in specific situations and needed clear visual references for all subjects covered.
As a result, we also planned a series of continuing medical education (CME) publications in the form of eBooks and ePapers, which were written by a group of experts in the field of dentistry.

After evaluating the project, we presented drafts to understand the technical limitations and potential for creating engaging visuals that would enhance the eBooks. We then selected a platform for the eBooks, which is based on HTML, Javascript, and CSS. This platform enables the eBooks to be converted into web pages and can be embedded or viewed on tablets through a proprietary app.
After finishing the projects, we reviewed the usage statistics and made adjustments based on the data available through the platform's post-publication performance tools.
The final outcome was the release of 4 eBooks and 6 ePapers, which included a large number of videos, tables, illustrations, animations, and interactive self-assessment tools.

Our strategy was to be a valuable partner who can analyze and plan the development and distribution of educational material and select a CME platform in a way that ensures the content stays current with learners' behaviors, which is especially crucial in today's rapidly changing environment.
